About Us
Mission Statement:
The LGBT Resource Center for the Seven Rivers Region is a volunteer service organization reaching out to the gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual community, their families, friends and allies. LGBT Resource Center for the Seven Rivers Region provides education on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity to the larger community; it seeks to improve connections among existing community resources and to foster a climate of understanding.
Providing connections for the area LGBT community:
The LGBT Resource Center for the Seven Rivers Region encourages the LGBT community to share interests and activities by providing a central location that is alcohol-free and smoke-free where the community can connect.
Promoting understanding between the LGBT community and the larger community:
The LGBT Resource Center for the Seven Rivers Region fosters a climate of understanding by providing current and accurate information to the larger community.
The Center Provides:
- Lists and contacts of area interest groups, events and activities
- A directory of area resources
- A library of books and videos
- Presentations and workshops to area organizations and community groups through its Speaker’s Bureau

The LGBT Resource Center for the Seven Rivers Region was incorporated and granted nonprofit status in 2004. The center is recognized as a charitable organization for tax purposes.
