Membership

Individual

Individuals that support the organization’s mission and purposes pay an annual membership fee. To donate money as a supporter, or to become a member of the 7 Rivers LGBT Resource Center, please print this form and mail it to the Center. Membership entitles each member to the following:

  1. Receive an annual report about the Centeršs activities along with a financial statement each year during the Centeršs annual meeting in January
  2. Can vote on Center business including the slate of candidates for the board during the annual meeting
  3. Can be a Center board member
  4. Receive the LGBT News announcements and a monthly newsletter via email and at the website
  5. Can use the Centeršs physical space at 303 Pearl Street free with a reservation
  6. Can borrow from the Centeršs library of books and videos.

In addition, the Center has partnered with these businesses that support the Center's mission and the region's LGBT community to offer the following benefits to members in 2008:

  1. Family Tree Floral and Greenhouse, 103 W. Jefferson Street, West Salem
  2. By James, 511 Main Street, La Crosse
  3. Stylist Lisa Anne at 2nd Street Hair Gallery, 29 Vine Street, La Crosse, 20% discount with Lisa Anne. Call 791-2100 for an appointment
  4. Caring Hands LLC, 205 Fifth Avenue South, La Crosse, $5 off a one-hour massage
  5. Monet Flowers and Gifts, 509 Main St., La Crosse, 10% off purchases with some exceptions (e.g. Valentinešs Day, Motheršs Day, specials and sale items)
  6. Christina Mae Olson, CFC, Certified Financial Planner, a one-time 10% discount on a financial planning consultation
  8. Rainbow Ridge Farms Bed and Breakfast, Hauser Road, Onalaska, one-time 10% off one-night stay in 2008 with some exemptions (e.g. Oktoberfest weekend)
  9. La Crosse Community Theatre, $2 off regular ticket prices
  10. UWL Theatre Department, members will receive discount coupons in the mail along with their membership cards.

Corporate

Corporations and/or area businesses that support the organization’s mission and purposes pay an annual membership fee of $100; non-profit organizations pay $50 per year. Corporate members do not have voting rights but the membership is designed to give corporations and area businesses/organizations the opportunity to financially support the center and demonstrate a commitment to diversity.
